I thought the best proof that M hadn’t succumbed to senioritis was when he was running a fever shortly before classes ended for seniors and yet he still made a trip to the library to get a few more great quotes for his final philosophy paper.
But now, he’s topped that.
Today, four days after graduation, he and his best friend got up before 8 a.m. and went BACK TO SCHOOL to their philosophy class, since some friends who are juniors (and thus still slogging through another three weeks of class) had said the teacher would be showing a really cool movie. The teacher was pleasantly surprised to see the seniors/graduates show up, but a good time was had by all.
It is possible, given M’s eager request for a haircut last night, that there is a girl still at school he’s trying to impress. However, no matter how nice the 1/2″-all-over buzzcut looked, I’m not sure it will offset M’s fashion choice of green/blue/purple Hawaiian shirt, white and blue plaid shorts, and socks with jungle birds on them. Unless possibly it’s a girl who’s blind, and he let her rub his adorably fuzzy scalp.
