Despite still having a couple feet of snow covering the yard and snow mounds everywhere — we have little crocus shoots! Actual living green things emerging from the ground! I was so excited to spot them today that I immediately called E to let her know. See, they’re right here in the bare patch next to the front stoop, under the eaves against the house.
Can you tell I’m good at detecting even the tiniest trace of green? Here’s the close-up. I especially like the over-achiever in the center bottom who’s growing through a tiny hole in the ice.
