M just told me, “We took a kinda weird survey in English class today. It was a bunch of questions asking what we thought about old people, and it asked all kinds of different stuff. I said that I didn’t think old people were smelly or complained a lot.”
When I asked where the survey came from, he said, “It was the Something of the Holy Cross.”
The mind just boggles at what sort of process resulted in a public school English teacher helping a presumably Catholic group in its efforts to figure out whether teenagers think old people smell bad.
