We’ve been trying to train M that he can wear a pair of jeans for multiple days before it has to get washed. And he agrees with this just fine in theory. But since he has the attention span of a brain-damaged flea when it comes to household tasks, even though we remind him to “Leave your pants in your room so you can wear them again, and go take a shower,” by the time he has walked down the hall to get undressed, about 50% of the time the pants wind up in the hamper too.
So later in the evening, when we dump our clothes in the hamper, that same 50% of the time we wind up pulling his jeans back out and then hanging them on his doorknob so he can get them the next morning.
Or, as I joked last night, “You request for laundering has been denied.”
