Things to do in 2011:
– Repaint our bedroom, because the blue paint color whose choice we agonized over 2 years ago turned out to be something neither of us is all that happy with.
– Put down new laminate flooring in our bedroom, because the current carpet is getting disgusting, and because we’re tired of maneuvering around the boxes of laminate flooring which I bought on sale a few months ago.
– Repaint our living room and kitchen, because the peach color there doesn’t make us any happier than the blue bedroom.
– Put down new laminate flooring in the guest room. Maybe. That room is cat-free, so the carpet isn’t as problematic.
– Replace the pink water-wasting toilet in the hallway bathroom. Better yet, pay someone to do it, because while I could probably handle replacing the toilet, disposing of the old one is problematic. Unless we do what our neighbors did, and just stick it in the yard for a few years. Think a pink toilet could make a festive flower planter?
– Find a new summer camp for M, because he has outgrown the generic day camp he’s been going to for the last 7 years, but is still too young to get a job.
– Replace our mailbox, because it’s falling over.
– Help M have a smooth transition to high school. Not sure exactly how to do this, although not buying a gay-pride rainbow-patterned mailbox might be one way to start.
–Do some grown-up date-like things on a regular basis. In other words, make sure M continues to attend overnight Scout trips on a regular basis.
– Keep up with our endless quantities of laundry. Because it’s pretty disconcerting to discover that, once we finally do enough laundry to near the bottom of the hamper, something like this is lurking down there.
