Other signs of spring include hiking trails that are partially under water, and lots of mud.
Those trails, just the way I like ’em. Ok, not really, and that’s excessive even for my taste.
The thing I find interesting is the timing. We have a flower in the landscaping that’s a cluster of spiky leaves which puts up white-purple-yellow flowers for much of spring. And the first blooms of the year came out 2 days ago. Even in SoCal, the flowers are on a similar schedule.
